The Solar CITIES Blue Flame tour of Ireland kicked off with a community build of a Solar CITIES IBC biodigester in the Birr Community Growery in the historic town of Birr. Birr is Gaelic for “The Wells” and, interestingly, Bir also means “well” in Arabic.
The tour was masterfully organized by Eimhin David Shortt (pictured front left with the grey hat) and took Solar CITIES throughout the green island, bringing a truly green solution home to Solar CITIES’ co-founder Culhane’s ancestral land. This is a dream come true for Culhane (pictured front right in red) and his clan.
