A home bio digester workshop was hosted at Bia Oisin, Claregalway by Dr. T.H. Culhane and Dr. Sybille Culhane as they work on the Solar C.3.I.T.I.E.S. mission: “Connecting Community Catalysts Integrating Technologies for Industrial Ecology Solutions”. At the workshop T.H demonstrated how to build a 1200-liter bio digester from materials costing only €105. The digester is capable of producing enough gas to cook three meals a day from one bucket of food waste.
